Special Issue on Human Rights

In February 2025 the University of Belize started implementing a three year project
funded by the European Union entitled Strengthening Human Rights Advocacy Among
Youth in Belize Through Academic Research, Capacity Building, and Human Rights
Education. This project seeks among others to contribute to increased availability of
evidence-based data on human rights in Belize.

In the framework of efforts to generate further availability of evidence-based research on
human rights, the JOBR will publish a special issue focused on human rights. This special
issue will provide articles that reflect the state of human rights in Belize and contribute to
establishing a scholarly base for human rights research in Belize.
